+ Senior Project Manager
The Senior Project Manager plays a key leadership role in driving the success of Sun Construction’s commercial and industrial projects. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery — from preconstruction and estimating through completion — while ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is an experienced builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and builds strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. + Essential Job Functions
- Generate project opportunities from a deep client base.
- Maintain good relationships with clients to promote future opportunities.
- Contribute to developing and deliver proposal presentations to potential clients · Contribute in defining the scope of a project alongside our clients demonstrating our full potential and value.
- Primary leadership and ownership of the project from start to finish including project planning, scheduling, budgeting/estimating, and identification of resources needed · Perform constructability review and identify any potential VE items · Generate interest in the project through subcontractor and vendor selection.
- Creates and monitors the teams, develop the objectives/goals of each and assign individual responsibilities. Although support staff is available to support a project, as appropriate, responsibility of ensuring those tasks are completed remains with the Project Manager.
- Create and maintain the Master Schedule, provide oversight to ensure 3-week schedules are developed and maintained by the project Superintendent · Subcontract and Purchase Orders evaluation, buy out and distribution · Project accounting functions including establishing and managing the budget, billings, invoice approval, provide accurate work in process projections (WIP), project accruals as required per client, all within the company project cost accounting system · Monitor the job progress, manage risk and exposure, review planned activities with the project superintendent and drive schedule · Makes tough decisions promptly and provide updated project news timely.
- Develop the project work plans and make revisions as need arises. Skillset with Procore or similar project management software · Communicates and coordinates with the owner, architects, consultants, owner’s contractors, sub-contractors as required to support the project team · Owner/Architect/Contractor (O.A.C.) meeting communication, progress, challenges, and opportunities in support of the project objectives · Maintain strict adherence to service, quality, and safety standards · Periodic (weekly minimum) inspection of construction sites · Ensure project documents are completed, processed and filed appropriately · It is anticipated that this position will require 50 hours a week on average to perform it successfully.
+ Education and Experience
- A four-year college degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
- 15 years of experience managing $1MM – $20MM commercial and industrial projects as a general contractor
- Strong scheduling and estimating background
- We are looking for someone that possesses strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Conceptual estimating and in-house labor estimating
- Experience in the Front Range and project presentation experience
- All serious candidates should feel comfortable developing relationships with clients, estimating work, developing, and maintaining schedules, generating proposals and bids, and managing projects.
+ Compensation and Benefits
- Salaried/Exempt Position ($140,000-$150,000 annual salary)
- Position comes with Company truck and gas card.
- Position comes with matching 401k, health, dental, vision, and life insurance as well as short term disability insurance. Time off that begins accruing immediately.

- FSLA Status – Salaried/Exempt
- Current Driver’s License is required.
- UA/7 Year Background Check is required upon acceptance.
- Schedule – M-F 8AM-5PM at a minimum
