Founded by Steve and Margaret Strong, the company’s early focus on renewable energy—installing solar panels and water heaters in homes—embodied their commitment to a brighter, more sustainable future.

Andy Welch

Andy’s background includes project and construction management both at Sun and in his role as an executive with a property management and development company. Some of Andy’s duties at Sun include policy implementation, financial management, strategic planning, and manager development.

Director of Special Logistics

Jenny Welch

Jenny has been part of the Sun workforce for a large part of the company’s history. Jenny started working as a Project Coordinator, providing logistical support to the Project Managers and learning the day-to-day tasks of construction management. After a few years, Jenny transitioned into an accounting support role. In her new position as Directory of Special Logistics, Jenny will leverage her long history with the company to strengthen its identity and reinforce its investment in the community through charitable giving and sponsorships.

As Chief Revenue Officer Alex develops and implement strategies to achieve financial targets, leading the sales, marketing, and business development teams, and identifies new business opportunities. Alex also analyzes market trends, collaborates with the Leadership team on company-wide goals, and monitors revenue performance to provide insights and recommendations.

Scott Solem

Scott’s experience serving on both the side of the Owner and of the General Contractor provides valuable insight into the Owner/Contractor relationship. Scott has dedicated a substantial amount of his 40-year career, 13 with Sun Construction, to technical work in challenging environments. Scott brings a unique blend of vision, relationship-building and problem-solving to Sun’s customers. As V.P. of Operations, Scott is continually working to enhance Sun Construction’s technical capabilities and the customer experience. Scott’s project experience includes work in High Tech, Pharmaceutical, Food/Beverage, Manufacturing & Industrial, Aerospace, and Higher Education.

Ryan Brenneman

As Vice President of Preconstruction, Ryan will take the lead on Design-Build and Design-Assist projects by building strong relationships with clients, providing clear communication and ensuring complete owner satisfaction. Additionally, he will maintain oversight of the project team, monitor customer expectation, observe overall team performance, assist in areas of challenge, and provide expertise that will benefit the project.

Brad Myers

Brad, as General Superintendent, leads Sun Construction’s field operations with a focus on delivering complex projects across diverse sectors, including healthcare facilities, laboratories, electrical infrastructure, ground up buildings, and tenant improvements. With extensive experience, he ensures seamless coordination of occupied spaces, aligning project schedules and processes with client operations. Brad excels in fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability, proactively addressing challenges, and driving project success. Beyond execution, he mentors his team, cultivating future leaders and upholding Sun Construction’s commitment to excellence in every project.
